Huekeep Privacy Policy

Effective July 19, 2026

Huekeep is designed so Kynera Studios does not receive your client information. The app has no account, backend, advertising, analytics, third-party tracking, automatic cloud sync, or background upload.

Information stored on your iPhone

Huekeep can store the information you enter or select, including client names and contact details, care and sensitivity notes, formulas, visit history, photos, favorite ingredients, and app preferences. This information stays inside Huekeep’s local app container unless you deliberately export it.

Local records, photos, temporary restore files, and app-managed backup work files use iOS Data Protection. Huekeep also offers an optional Face ID or device-passcode app lock. The app lock is an access gate; the underlying at-rest protection is provided by iOS.

Contacts, camera, and photos

When you choose Choose from Contacts, Apple’s system contact picker lets you select one contact. Huekeep copies that selected contact’s name, phone number, and email address into an editable client form. Huekeep does not scan your address book, request ongoing Contacts access, keep a live contact link, write changes back, or synchronize contacts.

Camera permission is requested only after you choose to take a photo. Library selection uses Apple’s system photo picker. Huekeep stores app-owned image copies and re-encodes them to remove location and unnecessary metadata.

Backups and exports

Huekeep lets you deliberately create a full backup, formula CSV, or client PDF using Apple’s file and sharing interfaces. An exported file may contain private client information. Once a file is saved to Files, iCloud Drive, email, or another app, it is outside Huekeep’s protection and control. Huekeep cannot delete copies you previously exported.

Restores begin only after you choose a backup file. Huekeep validates the backup before replacing local records and keeps an app-protected rollback snapshot for recovery.

Deleting Huekeep can delete its locally stored records and photos. Create and safely store a full backup before deleting or replacing the app or device.

Purchases

The optional Lifetime Unlock is processed by Apple through the App Store. Kynera Studios does not receive your full payment-card information or any Huekeep client records through the purchase. Apple’s handling of transaction information is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.

Data collection and sharing

Kynera Studios does not collect, sell, rent, share, or use Huekeep client records, formulas, photos, identifiers, usage data, or diagnostics for advertising or tracking. Huekeep contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDK.

If you email support, Kynera Studios receives the information you choose to include in that message and uses it only to respond and provide support. Please do not include client names, photos, contact details, formulas, or other sensitive client information in support email.

Children

Huekeep is a professional record-keeping tool and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

If Huekeep’s data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures will be updated before the changed behavior is released. The effective date above identifies the current version.
