OvenWorth support

Cost with confidence.

Quick answers for backups, recipe math, quote history, and the lifetime unlock.

How do margin and markup differ?

Margin is profit divided by selling price. Markup is profit divided by cost. OvenWorth labels both, applies the correct formula, and shows the achieved values after rounding.

Why does a weight-to-volume line need density?

A cup of flour and a cup of butter do not weigh the same. OvenWorth will not guess. Add that ingredient’s grams-per-milliliter density, or use a unit in the same weight or volume dimension as the package.

Will ingredient changes rewrite old quotes?

No. Saved quotes contain frozen cost and pricing snapshots. Use “Duplicate with today’s costs” to create a new comparison without changing the original.

How do I back up my data?

Open Settings → Save local backup. Store the resulting .ovenworthbackup file somewhere you control. Restore validates and stages a file before replacing data and creates a protected rollback copy first.

How do I restore my lifetime purchase?

Open Settings → Unlock lifetime → Restore purchase. Use the same Apple Account that made the original purchase. There is no OvenWorth account.

What happens at a free limit?

Your existing records remain readable and editable, and calculations, PDFs, backup, export, and restore continue to work. The lifetime purchase only unlocks creation beyond the active-record limits.
